New York motorcyle ride ends with multiple traffic violations

A decision to take a motorcycle ride in New York recently did not end as the rider most likely would have preferred. Instead, he wound up being arrested and charged with multiple traffic violations as well as additional charges. After he reportedly tried to run from police, he was apprehended. He is currently in custody awaiting further proceedings in his case.

The problems for the 39-year-old man began when an officer spotted his motorcycle that was apparently not displaying the required registration information. When the law officer attempted to stop the man, the biker is alleged to have taken off on his bike instead. After travelling for a number of blocks, the man's motorcycle reportedly skidded to a halt. He is accused of then attempting to elude capture by running from the scene.

After a short distance, the policeman was able to complete the arrest of the rider. Both were reported to have sustained slight injuries during the incident. The man did receive medical attention, although the officer did not require any treatment. The motorcyclist was then taken into custody for multiple offenses not limited to the alleged traffic violations.

The rider has been accused of many charges in addition to purportedly being caught in possession of an illegal substance. The claimed traffic violations are reported to include reckless driving and not possessing a valid license for the motor vehicle. This man is facing many charges, but New York laws offer protection of important legal rights as he seeks to defend against the accusations and seek the best possible outcome.
